Echo Theohar

Panopticon

2017

A live performance and collaboration between Design | Media Arts and Dance at UCLA. Over a span of three weeks, choreography was developed to reflect the mental anxieties which afflict the body in an acutely networked and surveilled society. One dancer (the camera) moves forcefully across the stage with a GoPro strapped to her body. The backdrop is comprosed of her live footage as it captures the second dancer's breaths, expressions, and movements.

In collaboration with World Arts and Cultures @ UCLA.
